The band Neri Per Caso comes back with their new album “NPC 2.0” 20 years after winning the 1995 edition of Festival di Sanremo, where they became popular with the single “Le ragazze”, that pushed them to the top of Italian charts making them gain six platinum discs. They go again to the conquer of the audience after 9 albums published for the Italian fans and three for the international public, with 120,000 copies sold and several duets with big Italian artists: such as Claudio Baglioni, Lucio Dalla, Mario Biondi, Alex Britti, Mango, Loredana Bertè and Mia Martini (posthumous duet), Ornella Vanoni, Mietta and Alessandra Amoroso. A new album recorded in studio that wants to celebrate the 20 years of activity of the Italian a cappella band, a collection of unedited and cover songs that have always been present in the live repertory of Italian and international tours, tunes coming from some of the highest international musicians, such as Sting, Michael Jackson, George Gershwin, Chet Baker and Pino Daniele.
Neri Per Caso start their career singing in Salerno music clubs and take part in Sanremo Giovani ‘94, qualifying for the section “Nuove Proposte ‘95”, that they win with the a cappella tune “Le ragazze”. Their first album sells 700,000 copies obtaining six platinum discs and in 1996 they publish their second work “Strumenti”, where the voice combines with electronic instruments and drums. With the single “Mai più sola” Neri Per Caso repeats the Sanremo Festival experience and classify in 5th position in the “Big” section. Later, they come out with the albums …And so This is Christmas, Neri per caso, Angelo blu, La raccolta and Angoli diversi, this last receiving by the American association Caras the prize of “best European a Cappella album” in 2009. Neri Per Caso then work with some of the biggest interpreters of international music, such as Alicia Keys, Dionne Warwick and Randy Crawford. In July 2015, at Ravello Festival in Italy, they open the concert of the famous American jazz vocalist Bobby McFerrin, improvising with him one popular tunes.
