GADI SERI • percussion

NOA, one of the most exciting voices in the international scene, a unique artist capable of evolving and changing over and over again project by project, returns with a new project: “LETTERS TO BACH” (Believe International), released in March 2019.

In her album, produced by the legendary QUINCY JONES, NOA selects 12 pieces of music by the German composer Johann Sebastian Bach, enriching them with her own lyrics. The lyrics, in English and Hebrew, are inspired by themes that move from a personal to a more universal domain.

The guitar arrangements are by Gil Dor, with whom NOA has been collaborating for years.

The music transcends the borders of language or musical genre, able to speak to people’s hearts, thus creating contact among listeners. A tribute to the German musician blended with the ability to experiment that is typical of an artist who during her 28-year career has always moved through different styles and themes, always in perfect harmony amongst them.

Growing up between the USA, Yemen and Israel, Archinoam Nini, whose stage name is NOA, is a songwriter, poet,  composer, percussionist, lecturer,  activist and mother of three children.

Together with her long time collaborator Gil Dor, esteemed musician and co-founder of the Rimon School of Music, NOA has released 15 albums and has performed at the most important and prestigious venues in the world, such as Carnegie Hall and the White House. She has also sung for three popes. With artistic growth nurtured by Quincy Jones and Pat Metheney, she has shared the stage with Andrea Bocelli, Sting and Stevie  Wonder.

In Israel NOA is known for her music as well as for her commitment to promoting dialogue and civil coexistence through her “ Voice for peace”.

NOA has received countless awards, including one of Italy’s highest decorations, Commander of the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic, alongside the “Pilgrim of peace”, awarded by the Franciscan Order of Assisi (in the past given to Bill Gates and Mother Teresa), and the Christal Award of the World Economic Forum.

NOA is the first Israeli ambassador of the UN’s Food and Agriculture Organisation and is a member of several organizations for peace and human rights in Israel and around the world.
